- B&M StarShifter is a 3-speed shifter with a straight-line detent shifter, allowing movement between gears without a positive stop, like an OEM shifter. It features a ratcheting function, you just put the shifter down into low gear, pull the trigger up while pulling the shift handle down & it drops into ratchet mode. In this mode, the ratchet function will shift one gear at a time so you cannot over-shift & miss a gear. Also has a reverse lockout which meets NHRA/IHRA safety rules.
